I spun and plied. This I made on my second wheel from my mom. Conclusion: The double drive is not as bitchy as the other one and I can draft very long. The problem is that the wheel drafts too slow so that I can only spin thin on it because there gets much twist into the yarn before it's on the bobbin
The plying was a pain in the a**. With this slow drafting in was it impossible to navajo-ply and spinning the wheel at the same time. So I made a single drive and only driving the bobbin. I stopped the wheel and pulled the yarn so long my arms could do it and then moved the wheel to get twist and to get the yarn onto the bobbin. The yarn is very irregular but it's my second try and my first try in plying. With the first single I made I become desperate with - it has to much twist.
